Accessibility

Last reviewed: June 2025

Farmhouse Coffee & Cream is committed to making our website accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards.

What We've Done

  • Semantic HTML — headings, landmarks, lists, and forms use proper HTML elements so screen readers can navigate the page structure.
  • Alt text — all meaningful images include descriptive alternative text.
  • Keyboard navigation — interactive elements (links, buttons, form fields) are reachable and operable via keyboard.
  • Color contrast — text and background color combinations are chosen to meet or exceed WCAG AA contrast ratios.
  • Focus indicators — visible focus styles are present on all interactive elements.
  • Reduced motion — animations respect the prefers-reduced-motion media query and are disabled for users who prefer less motion.
  • Responsive layout — the site works at any viewport size, including when text is zoomed up to 200%.

Known Limitations

  • Google Maps embed — the map on our Contact page is provided by Google and may have accessibility limitations outside our control. A text address and "Get Directions" link are always available as an alternative.
  • Third-party ordering — the OrderCounter online ordering platform is a separate service; its accessibility is outside our control.
